Joyce Shane, Artist 
Joyce Shane was born and raised in the Peace River country in Alberta, Canada. She spent hours enjoying the beauty of what her father termed 'God's Country'. The spectacular Northern Lights, the majestic Rocky Mountains and the freedom expressed in the West Coast ocean views are only the beginnings of inspiration for painting. Years later she would travel the world touching lives and discovering the beauty the world offered up, both in its natural settings and in the people.
Joyce spent more than 20 years counseling people around the world enjoying the diverse cultures. When her husband suggested that she needed some balance and should return to watercolours, she flat out refused to add something more to her full schedule. As he persisted a memory of her Dad taking cans of spray paint to paint a beautiful life size 'wise men' scene one Christmas filled her with a sense of, "could I ?".
He gave her art lessons for her birthday and the rest is history. She found another way to touch people's hearts.
